Democrats have now allowed Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) to be moved to the House Intelligence Committee as reported by Fox News reporter Chad Pergram.
PEN Media previously reported that Republican House Leader Kevin McCarthy may move Rep. Jim Jordan to the Intelligence Committee for the ongoing impeachment proceedings.
As the House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi could have vetoed the move but allowed it to happen – most likely as a show of bipartisanship. It is customary that the majority party grant most requests to the minority party in the house as reported by a senior House Democratic aid.

The Senior House Democratic specifically said, “it is customary that whoever the minority proposes is accepted.”
This follows Jordan’s statements recently on Fox and Friends on Tuesday that the “whistleblower” should be forced to testify in public.
Jordan previously said that the decision is up to GOP House Leader Kevin McCarthy.
“Jim Jordan has been on the front lines in the fight for fairness and truth. His addition will ensure more accountability and transparency in this sham process.” said McCarthy.
Rick is an exemplary member of the House Intelligence Committee and fulfills his oversight responsibilities with a sense of seriousness, thoughtfulness, and dedication to our country,” said McCarthy about Rep. Rick Crawford stepping down from the committee to make room for Jordan.
House Republicans are preparing for a fight on the House Intel Committee – which has turned into ground zero for Trump’s impeachment.
“If Democrats are going to turn Intel into the impeachment committee, I am going to make adjustments to that committee accordingly, for a short period of time,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Politico.
Jordan is a member of the House Oversight Committee and has been an open supporter of President Trump against impeachment.
