Former Vice President and candidate Joe Biden held a campaign event in Des Moines this past weekend and it looked like he sniffed a girls hair at the event that took place on Saturday.
The event was held in a small crowded room of what appear to be around 50 people.
During the event, Biden seemed to take some time to graze his nose above a young supporters hair. He then kissed the little boy on his head after resting his nose there for a short period of time.
“The press wants very much, and some of the opponents, want to very much categorize views in terms of whether you’re thinking big. And if you’re criticize something that you think is outlandish, you must be Republican,” the 36-year Delaware senator said before being interrupted by protesters. “The vision I have for this country, there is nothing small about it. It is like going to the moon.”
There were protestors outside the event holding signs such as, “Biden bought out by big oil.” The Two-term vice President told them
Joe Biden recently mistook the state he was in as Ohio while he was in Iowa in the city of Cedar Rapids. Iowa is the first state to vote in the 2020 Democratic nominating this season.
“How many unsafe bridges do you still have here in the state of Ohio? I mean Iowa,” Biden said in Cedar Rapids on Saturday in response to a question about infrastructure. “I was just in Ohio. Because they have more.”
The gaffe was noticed by attendees at the fundraiser.
“At the fish fry in Cedar Rapids, Biden says he’s in Ohio instead of Iowa. Quickly corrects himself but I spotted some in the crowd shaking their heads,” the Wall Street Journal‘s Tarini Parti.
“He corrected himself right away,” said Tupker, 39, a single mom from Marion, Iowa. “There were a few giggles from the audience. It wasn’t super pronounced.”
Back in August, Biden confused New Hampshire for Vermont during a campaign stop in Keene.
