An Air Force plane that will transport Janssen vaccines donated by the United States to Colombia will arrive in the country Thursday morning; This was stated by the Director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency of the Republic (Dabur), Victor Muñoz.

“The Colombian Air Force’s Boeing 767 ‘Jupiter’ will bring Janssen pharmaceutical company biological materials into the country. I traveled to Memphis, Tennessee, on Tuesday,” said Victor Muñoz, director of Dabur.

They confirmed from the national government that during the night of Wednesday, June 30, the procedures for loading the plane that will be transported will begin. 2.5 million vaccines against Covid-19.

The single-dose vaccines will be delivered by senior officials from the US Department of Health at Memphis International Airport. From there, the vaccines will be shipped to Colombia.

According to Dabur, this operation will be accompanied by the Colombian ambassador to the United States, Francisco Santos. Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Health, German Escobar; Cold chain experts and delegates from the National Disaster Risk Management Unit (Ungrd).

The manager of Dapre explained that once the procedure is completed, the return of the “Jupiter” to Colombia begins.

“So tomorrow morning we will receive 2.5 million vaccines donated by the United States government. It has been a very intense few days of work where the State Department, the Department of Health, Ungrd, clearly the United States Embassy, ​​USAID, have been working, minute by minute, to organize services logistics,” Muñoz noted.
